Mommy has been playing paparazzi all week..but just hasnt had time to post the pics.
Firstly..Feliz Navidad..we have a few pics from the Christmas celebrations last week...some taken at my little fried Akshs Christmas party, the rest at the Xmas party at Raheja.
Yes yes..I know..Im wearing the same red dress in all pics..you see its a Christmas dress and I really cant wear it all year round..so mommy is getting as much mileage as she possibly can from the dress..specially since paapu decided to go and get us a baby boy, this pretty dress will not be used very much

When Marya maasi visited us
Mommy has been meaning to post these pics for a while now..but just hasnt had the time to do so...what with me and my tantrums!
Anyway..so Marya maasi visited us end of last month (at the same time when paapu was in the hospital waiting for Arjun) and mommy and maasi were both hoping to hear the news about Arjuns grand arrival during the time that she was here..but of course Arjun had other plans and decided to come much later...but i digress!
I had a ton of fun with maasi and I think of her each time I play with the Dora pillow she gifted me

The terrible 2s have hit us and hit us bad.
I have been throwing tantrums of gigantic proportions every single day..and all for no reason.
Mommy has tried everything..distracting me, giving in sometimes, ignoring me..everything..and nothing seems to help.

Lil' baby where are you???
2 days past due date and my little cousin isnt here yet..Im sure paapu is sick of people asking her if she has delivered yet or if she feels like today is THE day.
I guess my cousin is just one of those too cool babies who insist on being fashionably late to their own party:)
Hurry up little baby..make a safe and quick entry..you cant even begin to imagine how much we love you already and how eagerly we await your arrival.

The end of an era
Yes its the end of the era of my great grandmother (mommys grandmom).
We regret to inform you that she passed away on the 19th...She had suffered a brain haemmorage and had been in a coma for 5 days..The doctors had said that the brain damage was severe and irreversible and that all we could do was wait for her soul to say goodbye. The irony of our life was that on one hand we are waiting for a new life to join our family anytime now (my precious cousin who is due on the 23rd) and on the other we were waiting for my greatgrandmother to leave us.
I leave you with some pics of my 'pijji' and me.
This was the ceremony where she sees her great grandchild for the first time in the light of a golden lamp. (I was abt 10 months old then)

School update

Today was day 2 and I did pretty well at school today. I cried as soon as mommy left but then I settled in pretty soon. By the time mommy came back to pick me up, I was busy stringing beads with a couple of other kids!
So I guess that means..Next Stop ..Stanford!!

My first day at school

Before I tell you about my first day at school, have you noticed how I changed the date format? The old posts were in the mm/dd format and ever since we moved to India, mommy has been using the dd/mm format...so from here on we are moving to the new date format.
Ok so moving on to the topic of this post.
Today was a HUGE milestone for both mommy and me. It was my very first day at school! It was the first time that mommy has left me with someone other than mamama or my daddy.
For the past week, in preparation for the big day, theres been a big hoopla about school. Mommy and I read "Dora goes to school"...we selected a school bag..talked about the swings and slides at school..talked about my lunch box.
Yesterday we packed my school pack and this morning I walked to school carrying said bag in one hand and holding mommy hand with the other.
School was ok till mommy had to leave..it was then, that I started crying. Mommy came back 30 minutes later to find me bawling my little lungs out..so of course she cried too (everyone knows what a wuss mommy is).
We are going back tomorrow and mommy is hoping I dont cry as much tomorrow.
