Guess who is coming back soon!

From the day Ajja and mamama left for Santa Clara, I have been maintaining a count down calender! And finally I have just 1 more day to strike off!!

Today mommy went over to get their house in order. After reaching there, she realized that the door wouldnt open. The neighbors collected and different people tried their luck..but the door wouldnt budge!

And since it was a Sunday, there was no locksmith available :(

Finally she managed to get one from Just Dial who turned up an hour later and finally managed to open it..with no damage to the door nor to the lock!Hurray!

Anyway the house is ready, the fridge is stocked..and now we can move to counting down in hours!!!

Another tooth bites the dust!!

16 Sept 2012

I lost my 2nd tooth yesterday. It has been hanging by the skin for over a month now! Yesterday it finally fell off and the kind tooth fairy visited us again!

I have no clue how she knows about the laptop shaped eraser that I have wanted for a while now! Imagine my surprise when I saw the tiny purple laptop by my bedside when I woke up this morning!

Because of the gap in my teeth, I have a tiny lisp when I speak :)

No Im not willing to let it go...

T: Would it bother you if you didnt look like the rest of your family
Mommy: Im not sure, why do you ask?
T:It would bother me
Mommy: What do you mean?
T:If I looked like a horse while the rest of my family looked like 'yumans' I would be very mad.
Mommy:Hmmm (Not sure where this conversation is going)
T: Im sure Ganesha was also pretty mad that he looked like an elephant while his mommy, daddy and brother looked like 'yumans'

Happy Birthday India (Yeah I know Im a month late!)

Well better late than never. Mommy just found a video trapped in her camera. We celebrated Independence day here at Daffodil. A bunch of us presented a song celebrating diversity in India.

ps:Just a word of caution..the next few posts might be 'catch up' posts so that mommy can fill in the gaps for the past few months

And we talk about Ganesha

So mommy let me watch Baal Ganesha today and I was mortified!
An actual conversation between mommy and me.

T: Why did Shiva kill his own son?
Mommy:He didnt know the boy was his son.
T:But even if he didnt know the boy was his son, its never ok to kill other peoples son (and as an afterthought..)and other peoples daughters too.
Mommy:Thats probably true, but I guess he was really angry
T:He should have taken a deep breath like you tell me to..and anyway why couldnt he just wait till his wife finished her bath?
Mommy:(Trying to salvage the situation) Maybe he didnt kill the boy, maybe the head was sliced off but the boy didnt die
T:Well good thing they found a new head, else he would have just bumped into stuff since his eyes would have been on the head on the floor.
Mommy:Yes I agree
T: If Shiva had seen a lion before seeing the elephant, would he have got a lion head?
Mommy:I guess so
T:Good thing he didnt see a giraffe first, because Ganesha would have looked very silly with a long neck huh?

Happy Onam

We celebrated Onam with pomp and show. Amazing performances by all the kids and a spell binding Kalaripayyatu performance by some professionals. I danced on a Malyalam song. A good time was had by all!

The tooth fairy came a-visiting

Mommy forgot to mention such an important milestone :(
I lost my first tooth a month ago. The tooth fairy dropped off a 'no mess crayola art kit' and I was super thrilled. And so was mommy-the no mess part I mean.

Another tooth has started shaking and I dont think it will be long before that falls off too.
