My latest wishlist

..A step mother!!!!

Mommy has been reading to me stories about Cinderella and Snow white...Thank you paapu for the wonderful books..(mommy says she is going to have a word with you about those books though!)
And one thing thats common in both stories is..that they both have step mothers and that brings to my notice that I DONT have one ..so everytime mommy reads me one of these stories, I ask her to get me my own step mother!

Our day at "The Color Factory"

Yesterday mommy, Gaurav and I went to The Color Factory. Its this really fun place where you choose a ceramic piece and then paint it...The store the glazes it for you and voila..you have a handpainted mug ready to drink from.

Shelves with the ceramic pieces

Waiting for Gaurav to bring his mug

Looking around at the rest of the display

Looks like only Gaurav gets a mug to paint on..Ill just paint my balloon

Ok Im tired of painting on a balloon..and anyway it just popped...and I cried..so mommy and I walk around the store. We admire a wooden train.
Mommy tells me she has no idea whether it belongs to SnowWhite( And you thought mommies had all the answers)

...and play with a big bear...

...and read some books..

And then I want to paint too..so we go back to the coloring table...and I select the biggest brush from the set

I dont like it when the lady from the store pretends to paint my face...so I shout "Dont touch" and I say it loud enough for most people around me to hear..Mommy then apologises to the lady and mutters something about how Im not usually so rude..(Yeah right!!....The strange lady is the one who paints my face and suddenly Im the rude one!)

I add the final touches to the mug that Gaurav painted.

And the highlight of our trip..My Fish tattoo!! (Sadly it washed off in the shower last night...but I really enjoyed it all evening)

Happy Mothers Day

Heres a wonderful poem that paapu shared with mommy today. Its a beautiful one and one that is so true!

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom...
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom
