32 hours later I finally make my grand entrance into the world!!!
Mommy cant belive how cute and tiny I am!!!

Godh Bharai Ceremony

Yesterday my grandmother had a small ceremony at home.This is a ritual that celebrates the first pregnancy of a woman.
"Godh" essentially means the lap of a woman and "bharai" means the process of filling it with things that are considered good omens.
Since its so close to the due date, my parents didnt want to plan on doing a big ceremony so it was just a small affair.

Appointment - week 38

Today we complete week 38!
Dr appointment was good. Dr Macart did an ultrasound and saw that Im still standing on my head. She said that I probably weigh about 6.5 lbs right now. So far everything looks good. The dr has told mommy to walk, walk and then walk some more!

Trip to the Emergency Room

My mom got up at 6:30 today and as usual put her hand on her tummy expecting movement. But I decided to be lazy and sit there like a lump. No amount of prodding helped. She had 2 glasses of apple juice..that didnt help either. I had made up my mind to scare the hell out of my parents.
So an hour later when she called the Labour and Delivery Emergency, they asked her to come in right away. They put me on the fetal heart monitor so they could hear my heartbeat. But since I still wasnt moving, they kept my mommy in the emergency room for a long long time. The Dr even suggested an ultrasound to see if all is well.
Finally I was sick of all the drama and decided to just move and let them all know that I am fine and can we go home please.
meanwhile, my mommy has been having some cramps in the lower back and the Dr thinks this could be a very early sign of labour.
So get ready world..I may be coming sooner than you expected!

Car Seat Ready

My mom took the car and the carseat to the San Jose Police Station to get the car eat attached..and Thank God she did..coz turns out that the way my dad had done it was wrong!
Anyway the nice lady at the cop station fixed it, did some safety checks, showed mommy how to place the various straps once she puts me in and gave her a long list of instructions.

Hospital bag ready, crib set ordered and change in plans about my home coming outfit

Happy New Year! The countdown has begun!
My moms hospital bag is packed and waiting. She has packed everything but the kitchen sink..I have a feeling she isnt going to use most of the stuff in there!
My mommy finally ordered my crib set. Keeping in line with the "Little Lamb" theme that Neetu aunty initiated (remember the lamb on the cake? and the lamb theme from Neetu auntys gifts?), my mom ordered a quilted "Little Lamb" crib set. It should be here in the next week.
Of course that changed my home coming outfit too. You know how mommy loves to go overboard with stuff...so now she wants a lamb themed home coming outfit too. So now Im going to be dressed in an ADORABLE yellow Gymboree outfit that has little lambs on it. It has a matching yellow hat with a ..yup you guessed it...a woolly lamb on it!
