The Update post

OK so when mommy started this blog, it was to ensure that someday we can look at it together and relive all these beautiful moments.
So someday when we do that i going to ask her what happened in the months of September and October of 2011..coz there does not seem to be any entry for these 2 months.
Why you ask?
Coz mommy has been plain ole lazy!

So just a round up about the past 2 months.

September- We celebrated my mommy and daddys 12th anniversary..took a trip to Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Singapore.
Mommy thinks I am an absolute trooper..I am a super traveller!
pics will follow soon

October- Onam celebrations at Daffodil..I participated in a classical dance!
We celebrated Diwali this past week..Im still very scared of fireworks..so daddy is a little disappointed..he was hoping that this year I would join him in his cracker craze!

On the school front things have been going great. I love my teachers..and they love me back! I am doing amazingly well with my reading..my teacher is super impressed with me. Now my writing...that is a whole different issue :( We need to work on it and get me up to speed!
At school I was the narrator for the Ramayana play for Diwali and my teacher told mommy had I had done an awesome job!

Today the bike...

..Tomorrow the World!!!

Happy Birthday India

Rio..in 3D

Mommy forgot about this....we saw my first movie on the big screen..Rio in 3D. I LOVED the movie..I was a little wary about this whole 'big screen' business. "So how big is a big screen?" I asked the day before we went for the movie..thinking it would be as big as our TV..imagine my shock when I saw the screen was as big as an entire wall!!!

3 years!

Yup it has been 3 years since we left the US. And at this point I think mommy is willing to give us a solid A-
Why an A- and not an A+ you ask? Because, while we have settled in well here, moved into our own house, got admission in a school we wanted, found some wonderful friends...theres still a tiny part of our hearts that we left behind in San Francisco..we left behind friendships that were formed over years of being away from family, that were strengthened over life events..and most importantly we lost out on Arjun being part of our everyday lives and the chance for me to grow up with a brother.

But of course there are 2 sides to every story..so also to this R2I story..because we moved back we are able to be with our families more..we realized that especially more so when my grandfather passed away..

So all in all..at this point we give ourselves a pat on the back for settling in well

An update post

I know I know..mommy has been really bad about updating my blog.We have been rather busy this past month. Doing what you ask? Stuff..you know...summer stuff- an hour in the pool each day..followed by cold mango milk shakes! Followed by fun play dates..and then maybe some kids movie...and then an hour in the play area..so you see how packed our days are?? And all this is without any structured summer camp!

On a different note mommy had a "Oh-my-baby-is-growing-up-so-fast' moment yesterday when we picked up my school uniform! I am dreading how mushy she will be on the day I start my new school..psst..mommy doesnt handle this growing up business very well :(

Happy Birthday dear Bombay Ajja

Today my grandpa would have been 72. We had planned to go to Bombay to celebrate his birthday with him..but it was not to be.
For most of his adult life his severe diabetes stopped him from enjoying cakes and other sweets..we hope that now in the painfree/ diabetes free world that he is in, he is enjoying his birthday cake!

Learning what 'forever' means

I think we all grew up this past month. My dad lost his father on the 3rd of April. Thankfully daddy was there by my ajjas side when it happened.
Last rites, ceremonies are all done..now all that is left is a lot of memories and the assurance that he is now a star way up high in heaven looking over all of us.

Having the time of our lives

Arjun filled days!

I have been MIA for a while because I have been too busy having fun with my brother. My days have been filled with love and happiness, pushing and pinching, hugs and kisses..all building a whole bunch of fond memories.
My little monkey boy leaves in 3 days and I cannot imagine what we are going to do without him.

I love you my little munchkin..come back soon.
