Happy Mothers Day!

I have been waiting for this day for a week now. I tried to get daddy to help me plan it, but when daddy shouted at me for putting mysterious packets in the fridge, I decided to do this alone.

The day before mothers day, I smuggled in a smelly, strange looking bag into the fridge. No one was allowed to touch it else "The surprise would be ruined".

When mommy woke up, I rushed to the fridge and brought out said packet and emptied the contents on her head, screaming "Happy Mothers day". What was in the bag you ask? Confetti! Sticky confetti! From the bean bags that are in the living room!! Confetti that had been put in the fridge the night before so that "It would be as cold as snow"!

Mommy was then told to "Relax and wait for her breakfast"

I brought out a bowl of cereal with milk. I had added in cream by mistake and mommy just had to continue smiling and eat the cereal and not give in to the gag reflex that she has when eating 'malai'.

When she went to the kitchen, she saw cereal on the counter and on the floor. She saw the milk spilled on the counter. The milk container and the cereal box were both abandoned on the counter.

As she put those away, and cleaned the kitchen and cleaned up the sticky confetti, among all the thoughts of being so lucky for being mommy to the best little girl in the world, I have a strong suspicion, she was also thanking her stars that mothers day comes once a year!
